Kevin was born on the mossy hills of Scotland and lived for a while in West Lothian before the mores of pre-Thatcher and REALLY pre-Oasis Great Britain sent his family across the ocean to North America. Kevin Wardrop is an amateur writer, amateur photographer and professional pain in the ass. He has worked in the PC support business for most of his adult life and has been accustomed to simply answering technical questions as a matter of fiat, it was his career choice after all. Now he herds cats and puppies for a living as well as babysitting the web enterprises at the heart of western industry.
An 18-page report that emerged days before the Boston Marathon proved chillingly accurate in its warning: It said the race’s finish line was an “area of increased vulnerability,” noting a threat of “small-scale bombings” by extremists, the Los Angeles Times reports. But the report, from the Boston Regional Intelligence Center, which receives Department of Homeland Security funding, said there was “no credible, specific information indicating an imminent threat.”

Oh please. The data likely doesn’t match because for once people are answering honestly. When they forced me I was sure to answer with false info. Voluntary participation means people are going to answer honestly because they want to participate.

Alright; hate me if you want. He didn’t give him anything that he had to pay for or even spoke to him (in the video).
Hell; if I thought it would cheer up a dying kid I’d give them the laptop and cell phone I carry from work too; but I’d at least give him more time than it took to grab it out of my bag and hand it over to him.
From my perspective; some dude gave a sick kid some stuff that he got for free anyway and while it’s a nice gesture I’m not getting all verklempt at the idea simply because I know that stuff is “on tap” and thus is about as special as a signed and dedicated twinkie.
