On Vox: NiteMayr's Adventures in Stupid…. Tah Dah

Hey, did you know that water expands when frozen?  I do.

Did you know that Beer has water in it?  Yup, me too.

Did you know that you shouldn't leave beer bottles in the fridge, even if they are not cold enough?  See, you're smart.

Me, not so much.

I chilled beer and wine coolers in the fridge, the coolers are comically frozen, but not exploded.

The Beer bottle…

The beer bottle exploded, pow!

It was fun picking all the glass out of the fridge, applaud me, your frozen beer hero!

On Vox: QotD: It Set Me Apart

What set you apart from the rest of the kids at school?
Submitted by jks.

I was fat…hmmm, nothing to be proud of there.

I was able to perform in front of a crowd, and when there leave my shame and insecurities behind.  I loved to be in front of an audience, and loved to speak out loud to groups.  I've never been insecure about my ability to perform in front of an audience, so I guess that is what sets me apart.

On Vox: Is there a treatment plan for Facebook?

I’ve been on facebook for about, uh, three days.  Almost literally.

I swear, it’s like crack, I find old classmates and friends and get a thrill when we “friend”  weak sauce.

I have to say, I like it a hell of a lot more than myspace, as it has a cleaner interface that doesn’t allow the users to completely crap it up.

Joy.

New Format

I’ve switched to this lo-fi layout for the time being while I figure out how to make a more appropriate layout for my journal.

Fascinating Class

What is the most interesting class you have ever taken?
Submitted by Melissa.

Creative Writing, it was a grade 12 class, but I took it in my last semester of school, as I already had enough credits and couldn’t find a decent job.  I took one class for that semester, it was GREAT!

I got to work in the media lab, and work with chroma key equipment (which we didn’t know we had until I found it) edit videos and generally geek out.

I also sat next to a Spanish Exchange Student named Carla Bonino; she was cute and didn’t have any hangups about hanging with geeks.  My friend Tim and I used to have gross offs, where we would write horrible prose and ask for them to be read in class.  I met Karla J in that class too, my first avowed lesbian friend (that was open and honest about it)  she used to shoot the craw with us and turned me on to some good music.
The only problem with the class was sharing it with this French kid named Marc (I really don’t remember his name, so I’m guessing) he was a total attention whore; who was obsessed with Guns N Roses about 5 years past their due date.

I love History, I loved sociology, but that was my favorite class, ever.
