I was setting up a new GMAIL account for someone when I saw an ad that said “password reset/change” and clearly existed to steal the gmail password of the person I was setting up for, in gmail from google’s ad system. What the hell?

Symantec fires CEO, successor begins turnaround effort | Reuters

“Investor disappointment with Symantec’s performance traces back to 2004 when Salem’s predecessor, CEO John Thompson, announced plans to buy storage software maker Veritas for $13.5 billion.” Well, when a smaller firm swallows the proverbial giant ball, indigestion is likely (and speaking as a former employee that transition was less than satisfying from the inside, rife with intrigue)
