Last night my neighbors were having a raucous party. I had thought that perhaps there was a game going on over at the nearby High School, but when I went out on my deck I realized that the noise was coming from next door.

They were so loud that they were drowning out my TV.

It was such a nice night though, I wanted to get out and take some pictures of the stars traveling across the sky (to get that neat streaking effect). So I went back in to make a play list to listen to while taking pictures. I guess I took too long making my list, by the time I got back out it was cloudier and the stars that had previously looked like diamond flecks in sable were now dull twinkles in grey cotton wool.

So I got a few pictures of the stars moving across the sky (2 minutes exposures) but nothing to write home about.

I’ve spent the past week or so meandering between games, photos and child care.

I’ve been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. which features three endings, and I HAD to see all three.  The “obvious” ending that you are being led to is extra crappy crappy.  The second ending is kind of short and dissatisfying and the “good” ending is too abrupt.

All in all though, I LOVED playing this game, and can see myself playing it again, it repopulates mobs and hands you quests; all in the single player!  It’s Russian, it’s covered with rot and decay and is constantly depressing and sad.  I can’t wait to play it again.

Apparently C and C 3 will be out this week or so.  I’m really looking forward to the final release of that game as the demo was a ton of fun to play.

I expect to get out with the Camera this week (as long as the weather doesn’t crap all over my plans) and put up some more pictures.  I still haven’t got a model to work with, so I’ll be snapping candids until I do.  I’m thinking of a kind of JazzPUNK theme, goggles and suits and such…  we’ll see.

Every Friday the office supplies us with treats, recently it has been Doughnuts and muffins.

It used to be Bagels and Doughnuts. I preferred the bagels, as I could kind of justify eating them as they were “just bread”. The doughnuts are a different kind of sin for me; so I try to avoid eating them.

They moved the “drop off” area for them over to a desk right next to mine, so I have to sit there and sort of “be next to them” for about 3-6 hours on fridays. It’s kind of liberating, as I can say “I’m not eating them” because there is no loss of community if I don’t go and get some (as everyone has to come to me to see them)

On a side note, I did something I haven’t been able to do for a while today, I bent from the waist and tied my shoes. Maybe I’m just limber today, but maybe I really am losing weight. I hope it’s the latter.

Just got out of the movie, I have a little time to get a quick review in.

in a word, thrilling. the film, once it got going was exciting and gripping and bloody all at once.

I was writing that on a bench at the mall after walking from the movie after it ended.  The hand held stopped working… damn.

As I was about to say, the film was great.  I knew what was coming, the plot was no secret to me and I still loved it. I don’t think anyone who likes Action/Drama/Myths will come away disappointed.

Now… there was one scene, one scene in particular that made me laugh out loud, and I don’t think it was played for laughs.

It made me laugh sop loud that my laugh was infectious and the whole front of the theater burst into raucous laughs.

I won’t say which, but I will say it has to do with fearing the whip.

I have three celebrity contacts on Flickr, how am I gonna make the cut!?!?!

For those of you who aren’t in the know, Flickr is going to limit contacts to 3,000.  Only 300 people on Flickr have more than 3,000 contacts, but I’m pretty sure that a couple of my contacts are in that 300.  Damn.  I love having one of my favorite musicians as a contact, as tenuous a social contact as that may be.  I don’t imagine the other two will cut me, I’m not sure.  007Ben can name at least one of them, but the other is a lightening rod of controversy and I think she’s awesome!  (Rosie, you rule)

Maybe I should use MySpace…. LoL Naw…

A Quick flu update, I think I’ll need to ask for the super-duper flu meds tomorrow at the pharmacy, as I don’t feel much better today than I did yesterday.  I feel better, but I’m still feeling poorly.

I would not have told Dan his GF had cheated on him.  I would have just went to the party he was at, sat down and just hung out.  He wasn’t my friend, and I should have kept my friends confidence over some dudes feelings.

It’s not like they had such a great relationship, I spent two hours hanging out with her at work, he was at a party.

I lost a friend and gained a rep as someone who couldn’t be trusted with a secret.  He dropped a relationship he didn’t really care for.

I was a putz.

I’d do that over. If I could.
